Route: Töreboda – Sjötorp – Töreboda
Start in Töreboda, easily accessible by train. Cycle along car-free roads next to the Göta Canal and pass 19 historic locks on the way to Sjötorp on Lake Vänern. In Sjötorp, lunch is served at Perssons i Backen.
Return to Töreboda for a cozy overnight stay at Pensionat Prästgården.
Terrain: Easy cycling on car-free gravel roads – perfect for all levels
Tips: Bring a cooler bag for a packed lunch and a coffee thermos with free coffee from the guesthouse
Day 2: Bike ride to Tåtorp (34 km)
Töreboda – Tåtorp – Töreboda
Start the day with breakfast and set off on a cycling adventure towards Tåtorp. Pass Wassbacken and the impressive obelisk at Lanthöjden, the highest point of the canal.
At Tåtorp, the Göta Canal meets Lake Viken, and here you can see a historic hand-cranked lock from 1814.
Return to Töreboda for another evening of comfortable accommodation and dinner at a nearby restaurant.
