Day 1 – Visby: A Magical Start in Medieval Enchantment

Day 2 – Cycling holiday on Gotland – Högklint, Warfsholm & Stora Karlsö ( 35 – 40 km )
Experience Gotland's magical landscape from the saddle! If you have rented bicycles, you can pick them up today at Österport from Visbyhyrcykel. You cycle south along winding coastal roads, through meadows and pine forests, until you reach Högklint – one of Gotland's most spectacular viewpoints. Here, dramatic cliff walls rise 48 meters above the sea and offer a magnificent view of the Baltic Sea and Visby's medieval silhouette on the horizon. Stop for a moment, breathe in the salty sea air and let your gaze sweep over the sparkling blue water.
Your journey continues towards Warfsholm, where you spend the night by the sea in an idyllic setting.

Day 3 – Cycling day along the Ekstakusten Coast – Gotland's most beautiful coastal road (approx. 50 – 60 km)
Wake up by the sea at Warfsholm, hop on your bike and roll south towards one of Gotland’s most scenic stretches – the Ekstakusten. The road winds along the sparkling blue sea, with stunning views of the Karlsöarna Islands on the horizon. Here you cycle through an open and barren coastal landscape, where the sea breeze cools and the scent of salt and seaweed fills the air.
Stop at one of the small sandy beaches or take a break at one of the old fishing villages that line the coast. The Eksta Coast is a place where time slows down – here it’s just you, your bike and the beauty of nature.
The cycle path along the Ekstakusten coast is one of Gotland's most beautiful, but it is also challenging in places. Here are some things to keep in mind:
Road quality: The road consists mostly of narrow asphalt and gravel roads. Some parts are really nice and easy to cycle on, while others can be a bit bumpy, especially if you choose to cycle close to the coast on small roads.
Landscape & Experience: The route offers fantastic views of Stora and Lilla Karlsö, with open meadows, pebble beaches and old fishing villages along the way. The sea breeze and the smell of seaweed make the cycling even more special.
Terrain & Ascent: The road is relatively flat, but there are a few small hills – especially if you make detours towards the coast. The headwind can also be a challenge in open sections.
In summary: An incredibly beautiful cycling route, with mostly easy cycling roads and a few short sections of gravel. Perfect for a day trip filled with sea views and an archipelago feel!
In the afternoon you pedal back towards Warfsholm, where you can enjoy a relaxing evening by the sea, perhaps with a swim in the sunset.

Day 4 – Cycling day from Warfsholm to Strandhotellet – A journey through Gotland's summer beauty (35 – 40 Km)
After a quiet morning by the sea at Warfsholm, you cycle on to Visby, through Gotland's open landscapes, lush forests and charming coastal stretches. Today's bike ride offers a wonderful mix of nature, sea views and picturesque back roads where you can enjoy the fresh air and the feeling of freedom on two wheels.
Along the way you can take a break at one of the small fishing villages or one of Gotland's many cozy summer cafes. Maybe a dip in the sea will tempt you before you reach Strandhotellet in Visby where you check in and relax in an environment characterized by calm and seaside charm. Free access to their relaxation area with sauna and pool. You should take the opportunity to take a walk just outside Visby's ring wall. The promenade goes right next to the sea and the ring wall. This is a fantastic feeling.
