This cycling package starting in Söderköping takes you along the car-free roads at Göta Canal where you cycle through idyllic canal environments, pass historic locks and enjoy the tranquility by the water.
For two days you will experience both the canal's vibrant lock life and the fantastic place where the canal meets the Baltic Sea. Stay comfortably in a cabin at Korskullens camping, just a short walk from Söderköping's charming city center.

Day 1
Söderköping – Norsholm – Söderköping (approx. 28 km)
Start your cycling holiday in charming Söderköping and follow the quiet, car-free gravel roads along Göta CanalDuring the tour you cycle through a beautiful landscape with rolling fields, small locks and picturesque bridges.
Along the way you will pass several classic canal environments where you can stop for a break by the water or watch pleasure boats being sluiced through the canal's historic locks. The trip to Norsholm and back is about 28 km and takes about 2–3 hours at a leisurely pace.
After the bike ride, you check into a cabin at Korskullens camping, where you can relax after the day's ride and enjoy the evening air by the canal.

Day 2
Söderköping – Mem – Söderköping (approx. 16 km)
On day two you cycle towards Mem, the historical place where Göta Canal flows into the Baltic Sea. S
The trail is approximately 8 km one way, making the round trip 16 km – a calm and easy cycling trip that suits everyone.
Along the way you follow the calm waters of the canal and pass small locks, piers and beautiful viewpoints. When you reach Mem, open views of the sea and the historic lock await you where canal travelers have started or ended their journey for over 200 years.
Here you can make a cozy lunch stop at Kanalmagasinet, which is located right at the canal's outlet into the Baltic Sea.

Distance: approx. 16 km total (round trip)
Terrain: Easy, traffic-free gravel roads
Attractions: Mem, canal locks and picturesque piers

Day 3
Explore Söderköping and the last bike ride along the Göta Canal (approx. 15–20 km)
After breakfast in the cabin at Korskullens camping, there is time to enjoy the charming small town idyll in SöderköpingThe city is known for its cobblestone streets, small shops and cozy cafes.
Take a short bike ride along Göta Canal where you can follow the canal's lively lock area in the center. Here you can watch pleasure boats being locked, walk along the quays and enjoy the classic canal atmosphere.
Take the opportunity to have a coffee or ice cream at the well-known ice cream café Smultronstället, which attracts visitors from all over Sweden during the summer.
