Day 1
Canal Cruise with M/S Bellevue – A Historical Experience Sjötorp to Töreboda!
Experience the unique charm of the canal in a whole new way aboard the historic M/S Bellevue! From Sjötorp to Töreboda you will have a guided tour that will take you through 16 locks, where you will get an insight into the rich history of the Göta Canal and the fantastic nature that surrounds the canal. During the 5-hour cruise you will pass picturesque landscapes and see the canal's impressive constructions up close.

On board, you will enjoy lunch in the heart of the Göta Canal, while learning about the canal's historical significance. The guided tour gives you a fascinating insight into everything from the construction of the canal to how it is today a vibrant part of Sweden's cultural heritage.

After this unforgettable tour, you will take a bus back to your car parked in Sjötorp. You will drive approx. 35 km to Vassbacken and end the day with a delicious dinner. A canal cruise with M/S Bellevue gives you a chance to both discover and appreciate the Göta Canal in a way that cannot be experienced anywhere else.

Day 2: Cycling trip to Tåtorp (11 km)
After a delicious breakfast, set off on a bike ride to Tåtorp, where the Göta Canal flows into Lake Viken. Pass the impressive obelisk at Lanthöjden, which marks the highest point of the canal, and discover the historic hand-operated lock from 1814. End your adventure with a picnic by the canal before returning to Vassbacken to round off your experience with dinner.

Day 3: Cycling adventure along the Göta Canal (60 km)
Embark on a fantastic bike ride along the car-free roads by the Göta Canal.
Göta Canal has been named Europe's Best Cycle Route in 2025. Cycle through 19 impressive locks, passing beautiful scenery and reaching Sjötorp by Lake Vänern. After exploring the area, return to Vassbacken for a cozy dinner. End the evening on the patio, where you can enjoy the view of the canal.

Day 4: Relaxation in the summer idyll of Vassbacken
After your cycling adventure along the Göta Canal, it's time to enjoy a quiet and relaxing day in the scenic surroundings of Vassbacken. Here, in the middle of the fertile Västgöta Plain, surrounded by greenery and with the Göta Canal as a backdrop, you can unwind and really take in the peaceful atmosphere.
